Gotoh Vintage Style Adjustable-Height Locking Tuners - Nickel (TK-7679-001)

These tuners feature Height Adjustable Posts (H.A.P.). Creating the perfect string pressure at the nut is a balancing act between headstock angle and tuning shaft height. Height adjustable posts let you dial in just the right amount of pressure to optimize open string tone, sustain, and tension with friction suitable for trem work. You raise and lower the post by turning it as it sits on its threaded base. Goodbye, string trees (If you want..) and their accompanying tuning hassles while retaining proper angle/pressure on the nut. The Magnum locking mechanism is built into the shaft, itself. The string locks on the post by simply tuning. A typical guitar will need a half-turn around the post to tune to pitch, which dramatically reduces tuning problems during trem work - super fast, easy string changes, as well. Since the locking mechanism is in the shaft, no extraneous machinery to spoil the vintage look, either.
